On the morning of 18th November, eight teachers from Anqing Foreign Language School participated positively in the activities of non-remunerated blood donation.
Voluntary unpaid blood donation is a uncommonly high-minded deed of healing the wounded, rescuing the dying and selfless dedication. Anqing Foreign Language School’s President Madam Huang Wenli paid high attention to this activity. So as to better organize this blood donation, Madam President required the school trade union to formulate the program of volunteer blood donation and stressed that the trade union groups were supposed to earnestly carry out the publicity and mobilization work as well. Therefore, plenty of teachers actively signed up and enthusiastically participated in the campaign.
At 9 A.M., eight teachers arrived before the voluntary blood donation vehicle that stood at the gate of Anqing Foreign Language School to register, fill in the forms and perform blood tests all arranged by the phlebotomists in good order. In spite that the whole process took nearly one and a half hours, the long wait did not affect the teachers’ ardor in the slightest degree. All their faces showed gratified smiles when they got their own scarlet booklets for their offer of compassion to society.
‘This is my third time to take part in the non-remunerated blood donation. I feel so delighted in that I can contribute to society’,said teacher Lv Yongju who just donated her blood and communicated with her colleagues waiting for their blood donation. They all felt proud to benefit the society.
Overall, blood donation, a noble life-saving act, demonstrated borderless love. Teachers participating in the non-remunerated blood donation dedicated their love and delivered their cordial feelings by fulfilling the socialist core values with practical actions to pass on beauty, goodness as well as truth.
